about 11 years agoAll leads default to ‘pending’ status since they are queued by Sparkroom for Asynchronous validation; their system needs our system to check later for validation results

about 11 years agoThe issue is based on the way Sparkroom handshakes with LX
FOR US : If the lead fails to pass instant validation their system goes into investigative mode and tries to come up with a detailed custom Status Code to throw back. Normally, LX expects a response of SUCCESS or REJECT. However, Sparkroom has an in between response of FAILURE at which point LX has to wait for Sparkroom to decide the faith of the lead so we can flag it accordingly.
So, during that waiting period the lead may appear as ‘pending’ in our system and it is up to a script or job that Howard had written in the core of our system to keep checking the final disposition of the lead until it receives the expected SUCCESS of REJECT that we like 🙂
FOR THE VENDORS: What this means for the vendors is that from the time they send the lead they will get a ‘success’ server response from us. However that does not mean that the lead is 100% valid. It only means that we accepted it but it still needs to be scrutinized by the client and we simply don’t know how it will get spit back at us. In the background, LX has some brains to keep checking the status of the lead over at Sparkroom and if the lead is good then LX promotes it to SUCCESS else it REJECTS. Of course by that time the vendors have already been thinking that the lead was good from the get. Well..WRONG! The only way to check on the delayed status of the leads is by accessing the affiliate panel or at the end of the month giving them the report on their totals.
