As electronic files replace paper records, someone working in the health information technology field will be involved in compiling, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of this important information. In this associate degree program you’ll experience:
-two externships where you will work with a real healthcare provider to obtain hands-on training
– prepare for health records management, including practice with electronic health records
-the opportunity to learn practical skills using industry software for chart management, coding and billing
